Batch picking instead of order by order

With batch picking you bundle orders that sit in the same direction into one round and split the items across orders afterwards. With small orders, and most webshop orders contain one or two lines, that removes the bulk of the walking time.
The route is where the gain is
A pick list sorted by item number sends you criss-cross through your warehouse. MrStock sorts lines by location order so you walk your aisles in one direction. The bigger your warehouse and the more lines per round, the more that pays off.
Scanning as a check, not as admin
You scan the barcode at every item. If it does not match what the pick list expects, the app says so immediately, not when the customer calls. That same scan writes off the stock, so there is no separate administrative step. Pick lists can also be created automatically at set times or at a cut-off time, so the work is ready when your warehouse opens.
